About Chef D
Chef Dietrich attended Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, SC and has a Restaurant Management/Food Service Management degree with a minor in beverage studies.
After graduating from Johnson & Wales University, Chef Dietrich worked in some of the best restaurants in Charlotte: Mimosa Grill, Upstream, Savannah Red, and Cafe Siena. In August 2014, Chef Dietrich left the restaurant industry to influence the minds of Charlotte's youth and took a position as the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Teacher at Myers Park High School, where he was selected as First Year Teacher of the Year for the 2014/2015 school year. When he isn't teaching, he enjoys time with his dogs, June & August, traveling and continuing his pilot’s license training to fly helicopters. |
